Week 5 (October 26th, 2005 )

Downley dropped their first points of the season against Premier new boys Apollo C. Darren Palmer was the main man for Apollo as he took all three of his matches and combined with Trevor Gaffney to take the doubles against youngsters Duane Brooks and Stuart Tweedy. Brooks, Tweedy and veteran Chris Haines all won two games each. Den remain in second with a game in hand after their 10-0 win over Apollo B. Steve Buck Robert Hansell and John Cooper all featured for Den. Two points behind, Chalfont A enjoyed a 8-2 turnover of Apollo A youth and experience combined was the key with Ben Wiseman and John Barclay both winning three each and taking the doubles together.

In division one Apollo D enjoyed a good win over Wesley B. Tim Sparks has been in fine form over recent weeks but with the imminent arrival of his second child (congratulations Tim!!) he could be forgiven for only winning one game. It didn’t matter though as team mates Bob Gates and Nick Hunt won 2 and 3 games as well as the doubles. Gt Kingshill A moved into third with a 6-4 win over Wesley A. St Andrews B, newly promoted from division three continued their great start to the season with a hard fought 7-3 win over Stargoat A. Chris Clifford took three with Kevin Moses and Jeremy Bagley both helping with 2 each. Broomwade B moved up the division two table leaving Telecom A second bottom after an 8-2 victory.
St Andrews C jumped one point ahead of Gt Kingshill C with a great 7-3 win over Harlequins B thanks to Vic Kearley, Michael Saunders and Ralf Elachola who took a maximum.

In the fourth division a maximum from Steve Andrews could not prevent St Andrews D from going down 6-4 against Union Baptist
